How is my privacy guaranteed?

Your mobile device should just share your devices UUID, which was created when a XIAnet app is installed. The apps communicate via bluetooth to other smartphones in a short range, exchanging UUIDs. Those are stored in a secure store on your device. When sending the contact list to a trust center server, only the UUIDs will be transmitted.

The server does never know, to whom the UUIDs belong. However it holds the contact chains, which are available for virus spread research and analytics.

Due to that procedure the data collection process complies to the strong Requirements of the European GDPR  and even the German DSGVO.
